BIO

Anne Henry’s career over the past twenty-five years has been shaped by a rich journey of travel, culture, and creativity.

After studying Production and Set Design at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, Ms. Henry moved to Paris in 2003. There, she worked for several years as a props master, dresser, and scenic painter in a number of major theatres, including the Odéon-Théâtre de l’Europe.

Passionate about the arts, particularly theatre and film, she worked as a costume designer on the French-Swiss short film Marée noire (Black Tide), directed by Yves Pouliquen (Les Films du Guerzit), in 2004. A few months later, she designed the costumes for the feature film À corps défendant, directed by Raphaël Étienne (Sensito Films).

In the spring of 2010, she earned a certificate in Performing Arts Production and Distribution Management from the Greta des Arts Appliqués in Paris before returning to settle in the Gaspé Peninsula. There, she once again worked as a set designer and took on the role of Executive and Administrative Director of Théâtre de la Petite Marée in Bonaventure, a position she held for ten years.

Her strong management skills led her toward an entrepreneurial venture in 2021. She became the owner of La Girafe Bleue, a Quebec-based company specializing in the design and creation of underwear and swimwear.
