BIO

A biologist and science communicator, Hélène Gaulin is the author of the book *Parc national Forillon, joyau de la Gaspésie*. A recipient of the Fernand-Seguin Science Journalism Award, she has led numerous wildlife conservation projects at Environment Canada. An enthusiast of traditional dance, Hélène Gaulin is also a dance caller who performs at venues across the Gaspé Peninsula, Quebec, and Ontario. She directed the dance component of the documentary *Grande Chaîne*, which focuses on traditional music and dance from the Gaspé region (grandechaine.com).
