The MRC of La Côte-de-Gaspé is located at the northeastern end of the Gaspe Peninsula and covers a total area of 4,088.59 km². It is made up of five municipalities, namely Gaspé, Murdochville, Grande-Vallée, Petite-Vallée and Cloridorme, as well as two unorganized territories. The Gaspé agglomeration alone has more than 15,000 inhabitants.


In Côte the Gaspé stands the famous and breathtaking Forillon Park. Spanning nearly 245 km2, the park is a mixture of sea, cliffs and forests. Its history is as fascinating as its fauna and flora. One can discover whales, seals, lynxes, moose, bears and even fossils, Forillon is one of the most beautiful parks in Canada. Located at the edge of the Parc, Cap-des-Rosiers offers the tallest lighthouse in the country.
