Rocher-Percé
The Rocher-Percé MRC is located on the southeastern tip of the Gaspé Peninsula. It is made up of five (5) municipalities and one (1) unorganized territory for a total of 3,256 square kilometers. Its municipalities include Port-Daniel–Gascons to the west, and Chandler, Grande-Rivière, Sainte-Thérèse-de-Gaspé and finally Percé, to the east. The MRC Rocher-Percé is bordered by the Bonaventure MRC to the west, and the La Côte-de-Gaspé MRC to the east.The Rocher-Percé MRC hosts several internationally recognized tourist attractions on its territory, including the Île-Bonaventure-et-du-Rocher-Percé National Park (SEPAQ), which is made up of its majestic Percé Rock and the Bonaventure Island, which is home to the largest accessible colony of gannets in the world.
The MRC Rocher-Percé is also home to the Percé UNESCO Global Geopark, the very first UNESCO Global Geopark in Quebec and the third in Canada. One can also discovers the other towns of the MRC du Rocher-Percé, whether by discovering the history of the region at the Parc du Bourg de Pabos interpretation center, or by walking on the pristine beaches.
