BIO

Moïse Marcoux-Chabot draws inspiration from direct cinema and visual anthropology to sensitively document resistance, resilience, and the poetry of existence. He grounds his documentary practice in rural Gaspésie and has made his mark on the collective imagination with the short film Lespouère (2013) and the series Ramaillages (NFB, 2020). Working as director, photographer, videographer, projectionist, and programmer, he shares his passion for cinema by launching in 2022 the project Temps d'écran, a film club specializing in documentary, in Haute-Gaspésie.
